If my (ex) husband signed paperwork stating that he is responsible to pay 28 percent of wages for child support, when does that take effect? Am I still entitled to half of his wages until the divorce is final? Ugh, I despise the drama....Need free legal advice for Illinois divorce......?
Check your yellow pages under divorce attorneys and look for one offering a free 1/2 consultation. Write out all your questions and go see him/her. Note that if your husband signed, but isn't paying, you can probably have the child support automatically deducted from his wages and sent to your bank acct.
