My brother is going to get a divorce. Need SERIOUS advice only.?

My brother and his wife are deciding to get a divorce in January. They have had problems for a long time now. This is no big surprise to anyone. Friday morning he caught her buck naked in bed with another man. They were hungover. Nothing happened b/c he couldn't activate his one eyed snake. Neither of them has much money for lawyer. They want custody to go smoothly so they have 50/50. Jen will have during week and Lou to have them on weekends b/c he goes to work 5 am. Any advice on how to work out some peace, what about lawyer, and what about summer vacations? Any help will be appreciated on this topic.My brother is going to get a divorce. OK, since they really can't afford a lawyer each, the next best solution would be to find a court approved mediator. It sounds like the split is mutual, and there doesn't seem to be any dispute as to property, custody, etc. A mediator can help them draw up the documents necessary so that they can have a smooth transition. Then they can pick up a divorce kit from one of many different sources such as a copy store, and then all they have to pay for after that would be the court costs.My brother is going to get a divorce. the best thing to do is share custody if they can for the kids. have things done legally so it will be honored correctly. split summer vacations too.

go for shared parenting, this way it will be easier on both of them and the kids....make sure that in shared parenting neither of them has to pay support...as for a divorce lawyer, have them call the financial aid office...this will get them a lawyer for free and as long as they dont fight over anything the divorce will go smoothly.
Awww hell no...Im pretty sure that he can get the kids to himself...If she cant keep her legs together...I dont know any court that will side with her...If he is the more stable one...he will get them...make her @ss pay child support.
your brother needs to make sure that they put it in his papers that he is to pay no child support women can change their minds in a heart beat especially if your brother finds a woman that his ex doesn't like and as for the kids tell them that their mom and dad will always be there for them even if they are not together anymore and that you will be there if they feel they can't talk to they parents tell you brother good luck and I hope everything goes good
You can have what you call a no fault divorce that would allow 50/50. The standard is for the spouse that doesn't have physical custody (would be the father) gets 30 days in the summer. If parents are amicable this can be increase or decrease. They can work it out. But the do give you a guideline if for some reason the parents can not work things out. You can get a lawyer that will do a no fault divorce for anywhere from $250-$500
I would say stay with one parent for six months visitation on weekends then the other parent takes the child for 6 months, that way they both have the same amount of time off.
